Toxic-8.co.uk is a site dedicated to detailing everything about toxins or anything toxic. On the site, there is a part about the 2004 song by Britney Spears – Toxic. The song itself was from Britney's fourth album called 'In the Zone' and is classed as a dance-pop song.

Throughout the world, after the song was released, it managed to get into the top-five in more than 15 countries. In 2005, the song also won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording and highlighted the fact that she was still a serious contender in the music industry.

The CD was released on January 12th, 2004 and lasts three minutes and 18 seconds. Unfortunately for Kylie Minogue, who was originally tipped to sing the song, Britney grabbed the chance with both hands and after a four year break of having a single at number one, she managed it. Up until August 2010, the song itself has sold almost 1.5million copies in the US alone.

The Britney Spears – Toxic video is about Britney's character knowing that her boyfriend is being unfaithful and she drinks some poison, before going around kissing other men. The toxic poison then seemingly possesses her and she jumps out of the plane, in which the video is based around.
